It is normal in a democratic country that many a decisions are taken and schemes launched with lot of publicity and fan fare. This is perhaps because of electoral compulsions.

But when the human lives are involved the political leadership need to act maturely and its decisions not be guided upon by electoral compulsions and it must be seen to rise above religion and caste considerations.

Lets take two examples where the current Govt has not acted responsibly.

1. In 2008 , an initiative was launched quietly without much fanfare for the rehabilitation of Pundits in valley. The Government had devised policies for Return and Rehabilitation of Kashmiri Migrants, under the Prime Minister’s Packages. It is common sense that after what had happened in 90s it was not easy for many of these migrants to return. So, quietly conditions were created so that some of them could return. Any publicity in this matter would have once again jeopardized their return and endanger the lives of pundits. Its agonizing that in 21st century our Nation, which is still a developing nation and is grappling with poverty, that has very few technological achievements to boast around, whose education system is in shambles, which does not have a single institution ranked amongst top 100 in the world,is busy arguing on issues like should Hijab be allowed in schools or not ? 

As if removal of Hijab will resolve all their problems.

And its young students are on the streets - being COMMUNALISED, because there is one set of students which has saffron scarves draped around their necks demanding banning of Hijab and then there is another set with Hijab on claiming it to be their right.

It is amazing that our political leadership has so much of time to do scheming and manipulating public sentiments. Had they spent so much of time on resolving real issues facing the public we would have surely by now become a technologically advanced state.

Now that this issue of Hijab has become one more reason to target the muslim population and also the liberals, I think this is time to put things straight.

One. Its high time that we the countrymen realize that India can not progress and its security will be seriously impacted if we do not work unitedly with a focused approach. Ridiculing and mocking each others culture and religion will only create millions of disengaged and disgruntled people, which will only lead to internal law and order problems. A society in strife can never progress, yes the ruling junta surely can continue in power by making various sections of the population fight amongst each other.

Two. Truly, any kind of compulsive dress system is bad , be it a Ghungat or a hijab for the natural growth of a person. It surely must be stifling a person. But those reforms must come from within the community and not been compulsively enforced. Because,

Three. If the Indian Govt’s top leadership is seen flouting its religious affiliations and religious symbols and is being cheered upon by his followers and adherents of that religion, what moral right then that Leader has, to compel other communities to give up displaying their religious affiliations/ symbols. This kind of behavior by the state smacks of hypocrisy and double standards.

Four. HC, Karnataka rightly restrained all students from wearing saffron shawls, scarves, hijab and any religious flag within the classroom, but it needs to go further ahead. If at all the State is serious in maintaining uniformity then it needs to take a large number of steps  ; ban display of tilaks and saffron thread that is worn by Hindu students on their wrist, ban janaiu/ thread worn by Brahmin students across their chest, ban bindis applied by hindu girls.

As of now, it appears that all that is happening in the guise of attaining uniformity and empowering women is basically targeting one particular community. Hence one gets a feel that it is being done for political purposes and has very little to do with empowering the women. The State is unnecessarily Politicizing the schools and is encouraging Hooligans to target muslim girls in the guise of women empowerent and UNIFORMITY.

Following a police complaint filed by Anup Kumar Dey, a resident of Bhabanipur in the Kokrajhar district of Assam, a case was filed against Mevani under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Information Technology Act.

Jignesh Mevani, an Independent MLA from Gujarat’s Vadagam constituency, was arrested by the Assam police on Wednesday night from his house in Gujarat and transferred to the state of Assam the following day. The arrest was made following a police complaint filed by Anup Kumar Dey, a resident of Bhabanipur in the Kokrajhar district of Assam.

Could Jignesh be arrested from his house in Gujarat, without the knowledge of Gujarat CM and if it had happened without his knowledge then surprisingly HE DID NOT EVEN oppose THIS and called it an attack on Federalism!

Fortunately, The Assam judiciary called a spade a spade and admonished the Assam Police but then when would Gujarat court come to the rescue of Political masters.

Jignesh Mevani and nine others soon were convicted by a lower court in Mehsana over a rally they organised nearly five years ago, in 2017. All of them have been sentenced to three months of imprisonment and fine of ₹ 1,000 each.

When the above was happening, Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga of BJP was picked up by the Punjab Police from his Delhi residence, which led to a hilarious cat-and-mouse-chase over Bagga's custody between the police forces of Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi. One trying to take him to Punjab and the others trying to stop them. The arrest was made on the basis of a case registered against him by an Aam Aadmi Party leader, Sunny Singh Ahluwali, in Mohali last month. The AAP leader had alleged that Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga had made provocative statements, spread rumours, and tried to create religious and communal enmity, and that he allegedly threatened Arvind Kejriwal during a protest on March 30.

Once again the Courts gave the politician reprieve.

Mahrashtra Govt demolished Kangna Ranaut’s house, because she spoke against the State Govt, despite the stay order from the court, a year and half ago.

Arnab Goswami was arrested by Maharashtra Govt on frivolous charges and was tormented for a week.

Shahrukh Khan’s son was arrested and kept for a month by the Central Govt agencies, when no drugs were found in his possession.

What is happening to the case now?

Mamta Banerjee and Yogi also often resort to same methods of stifling voices of opposition.

How can Central Govt be behind, its Enforcement directorate conducts raids just prior to elections against its rivals and then no one knows ; what was recovered and what happens to the case.

Six years back an enquiry was set up against Robert Vadhra on alleged irregularities in land deal, number of elections have been fought on this issue and no one knows what happened to the enquiry and the FIR.

Does this not mean that there was never any evidence of any irregularity but all was done to serve the purpose of elections. Has he served the purpose now ?

Dosers are being used without legal orders to demolish houses and shopping complexes by State Govts.

However, The judge takes it very seriously as to why Modiji is called as Jumla Baj but does not say anything as to why Dr MMS is called Mauni Baba and fake - photo shopped videos of Rahul Gandhi being circulated.

Most of the accused of anti CAA riots at Delhi have got released from jail because Delhi Police which functions under Central Govt could not furnish any worthwhile evidence which is legally tenable. So what was being circulated on social media then all those days?

Was it Fake ?

The countrymen were made to believe that there was a massive violence against Hindus Post elections in West Bengal, a team of CBI and officials from Ministry of Home Affairs visited Bengal to take stock of the situation.

What did they observe and Why no action has been taken till now against those responsible by the central govt ?

or else those videos showing violence circulated on social media were fake perhaps in order to cover up the loss.

Our elders often said beta ; do logon sey bach key rehena ; ek kaaley coat waaley sey aur dusra safed coat waalon sey. Donon parivar tabah kar detey hain. (Keep yourself away from those who wear Black coats(Legal tangles) and those who wear White coats(Hospitals) as both can not be trusted and have the potential to ruin the families.

This truly reflected the state of affairs in the country ; Anarchy.

But now it appears that this anarchic situation has further deepened.

The entire Govt administration be in states or in center is appearing to be working at cross purposes for their own vested political interests and in this attempt they are not sparing even the Institutions that have been painstakingly built over 70 years ; Police, Judiciary, Armed forces, Art and Cinema, Media......

How can someone place Khalistan Flags infront of Assembly ? What was the Police doing ? Where are the CCTV cameras footage ? or once again its petty Politics of scaring people. 

It does not end here, the top leaders of political parties are squabbling over an act which SC had decalred illegal and are proudly claiming that there workers had demolished the Masjid, another party is Godyfying a Convicted murderer.

The gap between a responsible and law abiding citizen is day by day getting blurred. 

This is how Chanakya described Anarchy in his Book ; Arthshastra calling it as Matasya Rajya meaning a state where bigger fish eats the smaller fish.

Are we inching towards that ?

This year’s Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) reveals that Out of 180 we are ranked at 85.

Have we improved even at the perception level becuase this is a perceptional index. Do not shut your mouth because of Political affiliations. we need to realise that at the end its max impact is felt by the COMMON MAN.

The answer is intriguing ;

In 2013 India was placed at 94 thereafter India in a span of one year i.e in 2014 jumped to 85 and since then it is at 85. So, what happened in One year that there was a 9 rank jump ; simple perception and so since then we are at 85.

However, when we go back further we find in 2010 India was at 91, In 2005 at 88, in 2000 we were at 69,in 1995 at 46, perhaps then very few countries were surveyed, Barely 90 and 54 respectively.

If we take a holistic view of our rankings all these years, we would notice , we were generally around the center, few places here and there.

The question then arises Why have we stagnated?

Peter Eigen Chairman of Transparency International says ;

“We all yearn for improvement, but positive change only comes slowly when the enemy is endemic corruption. Perceptions of levels of corruption do not change greatly from one year to the next. Positive results are only going to emerge from tireless and consistent multi-year efforts”.

He further says that In parts of Asia Pacific, the Americas, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, increasing restrictions on accountability measures and basic civil freedoms allow corruption to go unchecked

So what does this Rank of ours indicate.

1. Peter Eigen was right positive change only comes slowly, primarily because corruption is an issue related to socio-economic and political conditions that exist in any country/ society.
2. India’s Leadership has not been, despite lot of Hulla gulla, able to tackle this issue of corruption in a Holistic manner and hence we have been consistently languishing between 85 and 91 for last two decades (20 YEARS). I am sure Peter Eigne did not mean that the pace will be so SLOW.
3. The top countries on this index like Denmark, Newzealand, Finland , Switzerland, Singapore, Japan, UK, USA etc have an efficient justice system and off course the civil liberties and human rights have their own importance.
4. The point that we need to understand is ; If there are no Civil liberties, who is going to blow the whistle? In our country the WHISTLE BLOWER himself is Blown off. So civil liberties are essential to encourage the WHISTLE BLOWERS to come forward and report.
5. In case the legal system itself is lethargic and ineffective , it will have a spiral effect and there will be an overall decline and eradicating corruption to a reasonable level will always remain a distant dream.
6. Till the time people are not engaged in this process, fighting corruption would remain only a political mudda and to be dealt by only the Govt agencies, and so nothing will happen. The Govt agencies will remain like puppets.
7. Blaming people for this corruption is wrong because PEOPLE’S BEHAVIOUR is dictated by the system and procedures of the organization/ society/country.

Conclusion.

SATYA MEV JAYATE but infact, The truth does not prevail byitself, one has to make the environment conducive for truth to prevail. Right now the environment is ; MARNA HAI REPORT KARKEY.
